Short life Chapter 27- Murasaki's choice

After the accident Konomu had with Murasaki, he heads back to the ship. Meanwhile, Murasaki has remorse for what she did to Konomu.

Murasaki: (in thought) Why did I do that to him. After all it was just an accident. Its not like he meant to do it. I should just look for him and apologize.

Kitzutsuku: Murasaki, come to my office RIGHT NOW!

Murasaki heads to his office.

Kitzutsuku: You failed the mission. What do you have to say for yourself.

Murasaki: I'm sor-

Kitzutsuku slaps her and she yells.

Kitzutsuku: SORRY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

He continues to abuse Murasaki.

Kitzutsuku: Go back and finish the mission or I will kill you and the people you spied on. UNDERSTAND!

He abuses her even more.

Murasaki: (coughing and crying) Please stop.

Kitzutsuku: Then go finish the damn mission.

Murasaki leaves the office in pain and heads to Konomu's ship and stays hidden for a few hours.

The scene switches with Konomu on the ship.

Konomu: (in thought) She kicked me hard. I hope I can find her again so I can apologize.

Shukan, Nozomi, and Kanjo enter the ship.

Konomu: Hey guys.

Shukan: Hey.

Nozomi: Hi.

Kanjo: Sup.

Konomu: That food was amazing.

Shukan: I know right.

Nozomi: So good.

Kanjo: The best. Hey um, Konomu. Did you ever talk to that spy.

Konomu: Yeah, her name is Murasaki. But she likes Saki for short.

Kanjo: Oh okay. Then why was she so nervous around us then?

Konomu: She said she is afraid of men.

Nozomi: She has arrhenphobia, in other words she's scared of you, Kanjo, and Shukan.

Konomu: Makes sense why she wouldn't join my crew. She is very talented too.

Kanjo: What a letdown.

Shukan: That's too bad.

Konomu: Well guys I'm going to my room to go to sleep, so goodnight.

Shukan, Nozomi, and Kanjo: Goodnight.

A couple of hours later the rest of the crew heads to their rooms and goes to sleep. Murasaki then sneaks on Konomu's ship and enters his room. She draws out her gun make an attempt to kill Konomu. But tears roll off of her eyes and falls on Konomu's face.

Murasaki: (crying) I can't do it.

Konomu wakes up.

Konomu: Can't do what?

Murasaki: I'm sorry, I am very sorry.

Konomu: Lets talk outside.

They talk outside the ship.

Konomu: So what's gong on?

Murasaki: My orders are to kill you, but I can't do it.

Konomu: Well your a spy. I didn't expect anything less from you. Its either kill or be killed, but I don't want neither one to happen.

Murasaki: Me neither, but if I don't kill you then I'll die. I might as well kill myself.

Konomu: Don't.

Murasaki: Why not?

Konomu: Because if you do then you will never experience good things throughout life. Plus a beautiful and talented woman like you should just stay alive. And I guarantee you suicide is not the answer.

Murasaki: (blushing and crying) Thank you. No one has ever called me beautiful before.

As a lamp from another ship passes by and flashes at Konomu and Murasaki. Konomu notices her bruises.

Konomu: What happened to you?

Murasaki: Oh these bruises, its nothing I just fell down some stairs.

Konomu: No you didn't. Now what really happened?

Murasaki: My boss abused me. He does it every time I fail a mission.

Konomu: (angry) THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Murasaki: (crying) He's been doing it for years and never once gave it a second thought.

Konomu: (infuriated) I WILL KILL THAT BASTARD!

Murasaki: (crying) I don't know what to do anymore! I'm begging you Konomu! Please help me! I am so scared! PLEASE HELP ME!

Konomu: You don't need to beg because I'm gonna help you. Do you trust me Saki?

Murasaki: (crying) Yes.

Konomu: Do you want to join my crew then?

Murasaki: (crying) Yes.

Konomu: Then for now on you will be my spy and only my spy.

Murasaki: (crying) Thank you.

Konomu wakes up the crew.

Konomu: Wake up everyone!

Shukan: Whats going on?

Kanjo: What do you need?

Konomu: I would like to introduce you to Saki. She is now part of our crew.

Kanjo: Cool.

Shukan: Alright.

Konomu: Also we have a man who beat her, and I'm ready to kick his ass. Are you going to join with me?

Shukan: Any man who puts his hands on a female like that needs to be taught a lesson, so I'll take part in this too.

Konomu: Saki, where does this guy stay?

Murasaki: The biggest building in the city. Just head east.
